Litigation support / Houston / Austin / TX DPS C28670101

Security and investigations for active litigation.

Litigation changes behavior. A terminated employee. A displaced partner. A party served this morning. The order is signed in a courtroom. It is enforced at a front door. Mayer Security Services places armed protection and licensed investigators inside that gap, working at counsel’s direction across Texas.

01 / The record

Every action becomes an exhibit. We staff and report like it.

In a contested matter, the security detail is a witness. Every word an officer says at the door, every photograph shown, every report filed can be read back at a hearing. Our officers are selected for emotional intelligence and trained for judgment under duress, because one wrong sentence at the front desk can hand opposing counsel a motion.

02 / Matters

Matters we support. Each one changes how people behave.

  • 01Hostile and high-risk terminations
  • 02Partner, member, and shareholder disputes
  • 03TRO, injunction, and protective order compliance
  • 04Workplace violence and threat matters
  • 05Internal and workplace investigations
  • 06Trade secret and confidential information matters
  • 07Fraud and investment loss matters
  • 08Probate, estate, and heirship matters

03 / Security

Protection that holds up in court. Posture that follows the docket.

Same day / Houston / Austin

Deployment in hours

Armed officers on post the same day authorization is signed. Coverage scales from a single post to 24-hour, multi-site operations, and schedules adjust by phone as the matter moves.

Armed / Marked patrol / Plainclothes

Graduated posture

Static armed officer, armed officer with marked patrol vehicle and emergency lighting for visible deterrence, or plainclothes Personal Protection Officer. Posture is set to the threat, then reset when the threat changes.

TRO / Injunction / Protective order

Order-aligned protocols

We read the order before we post the officer. Post orders are written to the terms of the order in effect and rewritten the day a ruling changes them. Ambiguous language goes to counsel before officers act on it.

Agency authorization / Trespass / Access list

Barred-party enforcement

Authorized personnel lists, barred-party identification, and Limited Agency Authorizations executed with the property owner, giving officers documented authority to issue criminal trespass warnings and remove persons who refuse to leave.

Escort / Observe / Report

Supervised and escorted access

When a court orders access, we provide it on the court’s terms. Neutral escort of the restricted party. Observation without interference. Nothing that frustrates the ordered access or invites a contempt argument.

PPO / On site / Off site

Principal and witness protection

Protective coverage for executives, complainants, and witnesses connected to a matter, on site and off: arrival and departure escort, commute coverage, and residence checks.

Single or multi-site / Armed

Termination-day operations

Planned protection for high-risk separations at one location or several. Pre-positioned armed officers, controlled exit, access and credential recovery, and post-separation monitoring.

Need to know / Prepared language

Discretion protocols

Officers disclose nothing beyond operational need. No subject photographs circulated among staff. No characterization of the matter to employees. Prepared language for every predictable question at the front desk.

04 / Investigations

Licensed investigators. Findings built for counsel.

Criminal / Civil / Associates

Subject background and threat assessment

Licensed investigators build the threat picture before deployment: criminal and civil history, prior conduct, associates, weapons access, and escalation patterns. The posture is sized to what the record shows.

Pleadings / Orders / Governing documents

Matter intelligence review

We review pleadings, orders, the docket, and governing documents such as operating agreements and employment contracts to identify the rights a party can still exercise on site: records inspection, meeting rights, signatory authority. Officers know what a party is entitled to before the party arrives.

Timestamped / Same day

Observation and activity reporting

Timestamped, factual activity reports delivered to counsel the same day. Statements preserved verbatim. Professional opinion labeled as opinion and kept apart from fact.

AI body camera / Cloud / Chain of custody

Body camera evidence

AI-enabled body cameras with secure cloud storage. Footage preserved, indexed, and produced to counsel on request with chain of custody documented.

Date / Time / Incident / Action

Chronologies for counsel

Complete, sourced timelines of every incident, time, and action taken, built for hearing preparation and witness outlines.

Declarations / Hearings

Declarations and testimony

Personnel prepared to execute declarations and testify to firsthand observations. Testimony stays within what was seen and heard.

Licensed PI / At counsel’s direction

Investigations through counsel

Witness location and interviews, identification of unknown parties, asset searches, records and proprietary database analysis, heirship and family-chain confirmation, and fraud investigations prepared for criminal referral.

One point of contact

Third-party coordination

One accountable point of contact for outside counsel, co-counsel, client executives, and independent workplace investigators. Confidentiality notices issued when outside parties access footage or systems.

05 / Reporting

Written to survive cross-examination. Nothing added, nothing lost.

Every report assumes it will be read aloud in a hearing. These rules apply to every officer and investigator on a litigation engagement.

  3. 03Fact and opinion separated and labeled
  4. 04CCTV, body camera, and witness sources cited
  5. 05Delivered to counsel and routed as counsel directs
  6. 06Personnel corrective action documented in writing the same day

06 / Engagement

How an engagement runs. One reporting chain from intake to testimony.

  1. Step 01

    Confidential intake

Counsel briefs us directly. We confirm the parties, the sites, the orders in effect, and the reporting chain.

  2. Step 02

    Matter review

Investigators review the record and build the threat picture. We identify what each party is legally entitled to do on site.

  3. Step 03

    Authorization

Written proposal, Limited Agency Authorization where trespass enforcement is required, and post orders aligned to the court’s language.

  4. Step 04

    Deployment

Officers on post within hours. Body cameras recording. First activity report to counsel the same day.

  5. Step 05

    Adjustment

Posture follows the docket. When a ruling changes access, post orders change the same day.

  6. Step 06

    Testimony and close-out

Declarations, hearing appearances, a final chronology, and a post-matter security assessment for the client.

07 / Retainers

Four ways to retain us. Each one priced before you need it.

Defined scope / Deposit

Single-matter deployment

Defined scope, defined term, deposit-backed. Built for the sudden termination or the order signed this afternoon.

Evergreen / Priority staffing

Matter retainer

Evergreen retainer for disputes measured in months. Priority staffing, weekly case management, and a reporting cadence set by counsel.

Practice group / Pre-approved

Firm retainer

For litigation and employment practice groups. Priority response across the firm’s caseload and pre-approved contingency packages, so the next deployment is a signature, not a negotiation.

Assessment / Policy / Training

Post-matter program

Security assessment, workplace violence policy, and staff training after the matter closes. The incident ends. The exposure does not.

08 / Standard

The standard. Checked, not claimed.

  • Officers selected for emotional intelligence and trained for sound judgment under duress
  • Vetting, training, equipment, and vehicles that exceed law enforcement standards
  • Operators screened for proficiency in protection and investigations
  • Over $2 billion in protected assets across Texas
  • Established 2019. Offices in Houston and Austin

09 / Questions

Questions counsel asks first. Answered plainly.

Can your work be directed by our firm?

Yes. Litigation support engagements are structured through counsel, with reporting delivered to the attorneys of record and routed at their direction. Privilege and work-product determinations remain with counsel.

How quickly can you deploy?

Armed officers can be on post the same day authorization is signed in the Houston and Austin metropolitan areas. Statewide deployments are scheduled to the matter.

What happens when the court order changes during the assignment?

The posture changes with it. Post orders are rewritten to the new ruling the same day, and unclear language goes to counsel before officers act.

Will your personnel provide declarations or testify?

Yes. Officers and investigators execute declarations and appear at hearings to testify to firsthand observations. Reports are written from the first day with that possibility in mind.

Is body camera footage available to counsel?

Yes. Footage is held in secure cloud storage and produced to counsel on request with chain of custody documented.

Do you provide armed or unarmed personnel?

Both, along with plainclothes Personal Protection Officers. Posture is matched to the threat assessment and to the terms of any order in effect.

Do you serve clients outside Houston?

Yes. Mayer Security Services is licensed statewide by the Texas Department of Public Safety and operates from offices in Houston and Austin.
